Investment Pieces vs. Fast Fashion

Hello Ladies! It has been a while since I’ve been here and so much has happened. While we all longed for a year full of experiences and travels Corona Virus had different plans. The thought of being quarantined and isolated from the outside world drove me crazy for the first few weeks until I got the hang of it (as most of us did). This is not the first pandemic the world faces and while we never thought we would live through one in our lifetime we sure are extremely lucky we have the internet to keep us connected. Aside from working online throughout this quarantine I became an online shopping expert. It is no lie that everyones income was affected by the pandemic as well as our lifestyle. I found myself looking for more investment pieces rather than blowing my money off on fast fashion. The best part was that large retailers and department stores have been forced to mark down designer pieces due to store closures. The best part about designer fashion is that it maintains its value as time passes. In todays look I am wearing a Gucci top which I purchased for 50% off regular price. I paired this Gucci logo blouse with a Gucci logo belt, a very inexpensive black mini skirt and a pair of black sheer booties. This Gucci top I will be able to wear for a night out or a Sunday brunch pairing it with many other pieces. The best part about it is that it will not loose its value rather it will maintain it. I feel after this pandemic we will be much more conscious of how we spend our money and will look for quality rather than quantity.
