We are two months into 2024 and spring is around the corner. With so many trends, styles and aesthetics out there it’s hard for all of us to keep up. That’s why I have curated a list of trends which are absolutely worth your money. I have been a celebrity wardrobe stylist for 10 plus years. I understand how overwhelming it can be to shop for yourself while trying to keep up with current trends. Below you will find trends that are easy to style, affordable and versatile. Remember investing your hard earned money into clothing should be a fun experience not frustrating. As a stylist I always make sure to pre select items that I know fit my clients needs and then allow my client play dress up. I always emphasize you don’t need to marry a style or piece of clothing. Try it on and get a feel of how you feel wearing it. Dressing up should be fun and exciting not hard and awkward. Lastly, don’t over spend on trends that will be gone in an eye blink. Invest in solid color pieces that can be reused for years and limit your spending on 1-2 trendy items.

Baby Blue will be huge this Spring/Summer 2024. Below I linked a baby blue turtle neck sweater perfect for those cooler days and evenings. It can be a great transitional piece and a staple in your closet. Of course the main character here is the color. Look out for baby blue easy to wear pieces this season. Remember the vibe should be effortless and minimalist.
Off the Shoulder Tops are a huge trend this year. I love this trend because it is so flattering and timeless on just about any silhouette. This is one trend you won’t regret buying since it’s never been out of style. Add an off the shoulder top to any look and it will go from boring to stylish in a second. Do opt for solid colors and stay away from prints.
Wide Leg jeans are giving us all a little more breathing space. I love that this trend helps us look away from slim silhouettes and focus more on style. This trend not only screams comfort but also gives you an opportunity to create your own look regardless of your shape. You can opt for an ultra wide leg or a straight leg depending on your body type.
Leather Belts are simple, timeless and finally back. That’s right, the pricey designer belts with flashy emblems are a thing of the past. By now I think you have pretty much gotten the main idea for this Style Guide 2024. It’s giving simple, classic and chic. Invest in a plain leather belt that can be worn with lots of different outfits. You won’t regret it.
Silk Skirts are also an inexpensive alternative to vamp up your wardrobe this 2024. As I mentioned before look for affordability when shopping trends like this one. Invest in only 1-2 pieces and remember solid colors only. When styling this trend think of old money aesthetic. The fabrics are simple but look expensive. The shoes and top scream comfort but look very stylish.
Oversized Leather Jackets are a classic that you won’t regret. This trend has remained consistent throughout the years and is still evolving. If you are going to invest in a leather jacket this year opt for an oversized jacket like this one here. It will give any look a youthful and timeless appearance.
Black Trench Coat is another timeless classic you will never regret. It’s no lie that last year was the official come back of the trench coat but it’s also not a trend. All of us could need a great coat at any given moment in our life. Think of it like a suitcase. You don’t know when you’ll need it but at some point you will. Might as well have it. And no need to over spend. There are so many great options under $100.
Little Black Dress that will save the day for the next five years. As a stylist I can say women come to me the most when they have a special event like weddings, sweet sixteens or cocktail parties. I think it’s because no one wants to over spend on a dress that they will wear one time. I love simplicity. A great little black dress looks elegant, sophisticated and is classic. Also with so many options in today’s world no need to break the bank.
Ballerina Flats are back! Because you can’t get effortless comfort without a great shoe. I love the two tone ballerina flats I have linked below. Ballerina flats had a huge moment back in 2011-2012 and slowly faded away with the come back of platform heels. And well yeah that was so uncomfortable and unrealistic for most women. I am so excited to see the ballerina flats make a huge come back.
